Taking a short break from mapping Unknown Warriors Bsg i pulled this out of moth balls and rebuilt my orignal mesh for the most part.
This is my attempt at Jason"Vector"Lee concept 1701 design.
My 1st model was well over 15000 poly, i have cut it down to around 9500 poly for sfc. I'm not sure i can cut it more i already have smoothing errors as you can see thats driving me nuts. :help: I'm working on the paint now i hope  :laugh: i can pull off something worth a download.

can you post a wireframe? I'm interested to see how you've gone about doing this one.

I don't like it.  Nothing against the model's construction.  I don't like the design itself.  What was that guy thinking?

Other than preferring a more traditional saucer shape I like it as an "Alt-TOS" piece.

Sorry it took so long  :angel: most of it is made from basic 20 sided cylinders , 1/2 spheres and boxes the outer ring/saucer is made from an extrued tube.
