Hey, long time lurker here. I recently started playing the game again. Anyway, I cannot seem get the single player starting prestige in the game to change. I go to the:
"\MetaAssets\ServerProfiles\SinglePlayer\"
directory, and find Character.gf. I turn off the read only option, and open the file in Notepad. I change:
StartingPrestige = 50
to
StartingPrestige = 2000
I then save the file, change it back to read only, start the the game, and start a new campaign. Starting prestige is still 50. What am I doing wrong? I've never been able to get this working. :hoppin:
I have been able to change the ship.gf [StartingShip/Misc] options, so I'm not a total cretin. ;) Thanks!
