Title: USS CONSOLATION NCC-7000 WIP***UPDATE***

OK, the Marconi was a test to try to remember how to do this stuff...Now I have MAX 2009, so started on something else, a ship I found at a link in another post about schematics.
This a hospital ship, the USS CONSOLATION NCC-7000...I just liked her lines, lol.

Thanx FW...poly count is 5700...could make it a little lower, I didnt boolean/weld somethings, so as to make it easier to kitbash...also makes it easier for me to do other ships with the same saucer, nacelle or whatever...I'm getting lazy as I get older :P, and that will save me time. And, it gives me more texturing exp...I REALLY need that, lmao. :laugh: It'll also give time to do something I've wanted to do for a long time...a HIGH poly model...probably not Trek, but it'll still be a space ship,lol.

Those warp engines and that saucer look very sharp and clean.  No jagged line, looks almost like they were over 10k polies each themselves.

As I said before, I need to work on texturing...the windows on the saucer rim look like chit,,,I'll be working on that today, hopefully have some updated [ics for ya later. ;)

Couple of quick suggestions as always..  :D

Go for about the same level of yellow as you have blue.. going for a TOS style ship (even Lost Era), personally I'd go for yellow window lighting.

Second, throw some people in a few windows (keeping in mind scale) and vary some of the brightness of some of the windows.

I'll give you an example..  I'll vary a bit of the lighting as I move towards the front of the saucer just to show you the difference that that can make.  :)

Take this for what it's worth, just trying to help out a bit..

Hey all, sorry haven't posted anything in awhile...no I haven't started playing WoW again(don't even have it installed on new puter,lol) I just got side tracked trying to get my high poly(for me) model going. I think I've finally hit on a design that will work for me, as it's my own, so I can make it look like whatever I want, lol.

Here are a few wip pics, which will also be shown at SFM, so I can get advice and pointers from those geniuses. ;D

LOL, don't worry SD...have a copy saved for the sole purpose of texturing and releasing here. ::) I wouldn't forget y'all, lol. :D
