Title: Thank god this was a five week pay month
Post by: Khalee1 on July 25, 2009, 05:22:17 am
And that I'm single. went from 40 to 30 hours lost a hundred bucks from my check. And because they cut more hours off me ain't gonna be no buying anything unless I need it.

Production floor got hours cut but at least they are still making their 40 just got their overtime reduced, me I don't get overtime to begin with, and I don't like the production floor to begin with but at least I'll get  40 hours and the hundred bucks back.

Was gonna go Monday and see about another car from a your job is you credit place (they had a ford ranger in stock that had what I was looking for on it) but not now.

And you know what  Recession sucks

Hang in there. We're turning the corner or flipping the car...not absolutely sure which yet.

Keep putting away a little money every payday and you may be able to find something you like that you can pay cash for. I recently picked up a really nice Ford Explorer that I will have just under $3,000 into after getting the blend door for the heat fixed. There are good ones out there, just be patient.

Yeah, I picked up an ok Lumina APV for $1200 not too long ago.

7000 miles and another $500 later it's still ok.

I'd rather make repairs than a monthly payment anyway because if nothing goes wrong in a month you're up that money

I hear you on this one.  I'm not hurting for bills right now, but I've seen a drop in my hours and a drop in my tips.  I was setting aside money to get back to school this fall, but I charted my projected finances through the end of the year.  And assuming the cut in pay remains the same throughout the rest of the year, After Christmas things will start to get dicey.  I think i'm going to put off school until spring semester, pay off my car, and get my insurance down to a more reasonable number.
