It all started out with Joshua (my grandson) taking his nap, which allowed me to work on my 1968 Horugel double cutaway hollowbody electric I purchased in "distressed" condition...
First, I looked through my box of tuners and found a nice set of '60's era tuners that I had cleaned up way back when, to replace the ones on the guitar..as you cans see, one knob missing, and the upper E and G tuners were also slipping.
There was a lot of fret buzz at the upper end, so, after unstringing the guitar, I reset the neck and replaced the tuners.
-
After all that, I restrung the guitar, and set the intonation, this amongst having the three local grandkids over (probably grandma's idea of how to help)...
-
After all of that, my biggest helper (Aaron) decided to cash it in for the day..
Sunday, I loaned my guitar to Zach for church service, who has now left for the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, so he'd actually have a nice guitar to play. The guitar did not go with him, it stays in my herd ;D .
