A fundamental flaw seems to be that it is based on the idea that the vampires are turning someone whenever they attack them.

If Vampires don't exist how do you explain Lawyers and Politicians?

The kid'll find it a lot harder to disprove the existance of the more prevalent of blood sucking leeches.... lawyers....  ::)
