I started on this guy yesterday, trying to make textures that look similar to Ganymad's re-textured WZ K'Tinga. The nacelle texture came from this forum but I can't seem to find it again so I can ID the author, anybody remember?

I forgot to mention, I do have a reason for mounting the impulse exhaust manifolds on the wings beyond that it is more similar to cannon design. I'm going to put a shuttlebay in the center.

Nice work there! An excellent start on improving FASA's design even more. Anybody have a close look at the ST: Legacy model of this ship?
Are you going to add torpedo tubes or other weapon hard point mounts on the fore and aft?

I havent played Legacy in a while, But it does have a nice model compared to what we have had. But this should rival or best it with ease :)

Thats my texture, and I posted it for peeps to use, your rework looks good.
No credit needed, they are just my take on the studio model nacelle, with greebles on the front. I didn't create the look.

In answer to weapons, this ship is a missle boat isn't it? Trying to cope with the mirrored textures, I think the backwards trefoil on the bottom is acceptable . . . ?

Well, I would have preferred to make a seperate texture for the top and bottom but this seems to work decently. I've tried to trade off having the top-down view of the ship as detailed as possible without making the inconsistancies on the underside too distracting. I toned-down the brightness of the cloaking field array and simplified the top of the command pod . . . might add a couple more weapons but I'm near completion otherwise. It's too bad the model didn't have light maps for some of the textures, I'd love to add lighting effects to the engines and weapons.

Have you considered bashing one and two of Atrahasis cargo pods under it? I'm thinking this will make a great tug.

I think this is it, I've cleaned a couple of things up and added more greeblies to the top of the command pod. I've also added some disruptors amidships. I even had begun to make lightmaps for it but as I say, I'm not sure how to apply them to the model.

I'd send it to Atheorhaven when you are just about finished. He can do the lighting.

OK, I'm quite possibly the worst procrastonater in the world but I decided that since I'm not making any progress fixing this one I might as well release it as is. I have a new project to work on anyway. ;)
