Hey fellow XC Captains and SFC fans. It's been AGES that I have posted so I just wanna give the wazzup?
Right now the Navy has the family me busy to the bone but we are doing well. Mrs Ferret (Alien) is runnig the show at home while I'm away from the front and sailing around playing defender of the nation.
It has been ages since we played SFC and I'll have to dig my discs out and reload the games into my Lappy and her comp. I know there is probably a heck of lot of stuff to D/L so I'm not really looking forward to it.
How is everyone else doing?

lot's of people playing the new DDO and STO games right now. Others working on getting SFC to work with Win 7/Vista.

OMFG FERRIT! cool! old XC just crawling out of the woodwork. glad to hear from you and that you are safe. most of us XC guys are playing startrek online now. let me know and one of you can have my buddy pass (free five day trial) and i am sure i can get a second for you or alien. give alien a big squeeze for me (well virtually of course, since you are probably many miles away from her playing soldier)

Wow great to see some old timers still mucking about!!
Thanks for the STO invites but I don't know if Alien and I are ready for the venture into the MMORPG world just yet. We have alot on our plate in Washintong State dealing with the Navy and family. I do occasionally get on XBL for the battlefield 2 match or a game of Halo ODST firefight but as for trek stuff, I had to slick my lapopy and the family comps so, I have not yet replayed SFCOP in a while.
We do miss you guys and have seen Frey and Hesta on FB. I'll chat with the honey and see what she thinks about the MMO side of the house but in all truth right now would be a hard sell.
I'll be loading W7 on the family comp but my lappy will not be able to accpet the upgrade. According to Toshiba my lappy is a year off from thier support. Sucks but right now XP is fine until I decide on a new system.
Alien is okay but a little stressed, the ship will be out extended for the deployment (good to know ahead of time, I guess) but, she has her Mom in the area as she followed us from the islands. I've been ultra busy as of late since we are in the middle of our work up schedule and the stress has been compunding by the week. Alien is also trying to get some paintballing time for the family but it's hard trying to get everything in sucha hectic schedule. I'm most likely going to have her wait until I get back.
I made the selection board agin for the fourth time for Chief. Hopefully they'll advance more than ten and I'll be wearing anchors. I'll find out when I'm deployed.
Sorry guys right now I'm on duty and I cannot think of anything else except that Alien and I are pleased and still abit cautious about the New Trek Movie. The Casting and teh SFX was great but way too much gloss for us. Wondering if they'll flop on the next movie. Crossing fingers that they don't ruin it all together.

Yea, we are digging it family wise but it really sucks to be in the Navy and homeported here. It's hard to get things done with all the regulations and the cold weather.
