Your thoughts and opinions please. It wont take long ;D
Here is the idea, Some fans of Tos Trek have seen on the show mostly just after a commercial break where the camera shows the 1701 and zooms in to the bridge where it "looks" like there is glass window on the top. Shows the bridge and crew. Can SFC zoom in enough to see that detail and would that be wanted at all as an option on a SFC model if so?

For an SFC Model, you can get some great close ups.. but i dont think it would be worth the effort for a game model, why not just make the mesh for fun, with no restriction on poly count. start with the bridge, then the done then the saucer etc etc. Make a nice one for renders etc etc
But thats just my opinion. How many polies would you spend on the bridge itself, if you could make a low poly connie like FOAS one for shapeways, that could be interesting.

If you increase the scale of all of the ships you can zoom in really close.

IM wondering about the idea ive seen some detailed open shuttle bays and such. For an extra 1100 poly a bridge could be added. Didnt Atolm do a romulan bridge i think? Might have been Tus? Im thinkin about doin that to my klingon d12 and d2 stingtounge adding a bridge just for the heck of it.

Got it. Yea something like that but with a some 3d detail .

Sounds good i have my answer now :-\ ;D .

What I would do is take FW's image, and put it on the inside of a hemisphere and then the top skylight use a translucent texture. It would look as detailed as you can see with the aging SFC engine without burdening they system.

I have several feds, klinks and roms that i could add 2k in poly to and still wont be at a 4k mark ,yet the hull and rest of the details im fine with i dont either want to smooth them more or they dont need it. I guess im just trying to find a reason to spice them up some ;D
