Title: Looking for old models.

looking for some old models. specifically all of Desty Nova's ships, and Jeff Wallace's Pre-TOS klingons (the KF5, etc). anyone have them backed up or anything? I can open up an FTP account on Robinomicon for those who have them.

give me a couple of days to find my discs. I know i have or at least had all of destoys stuff. Can't promise anything tho, I have moved a couple of times since i dl them and burned them to disc.

I don't think I like the back end. Also: No nacelles yet, and I don't have some details laid out yet.

though I despise TOS era, it does warm my heart seeing how much of a face-lift you're giving those ships!

It always angered my that while I liked the theme and textures for the Gorn especially, when applied to the models they looked worse!

Again, these are like 1.5 hours each, at absolute most, so I'm not investing a lot of time in them. I don't know how I feel about texturing them. I'd love to hand them off to someone who can get a better Updated-TOS look to them than I can.

I've never been a HUGE fan of TOS ships. I like what people are doing to reimagine the old-verse into something a bit more modern, myself included. I just figured that these SFB blocks need some love, too.

Nice work FoaS_XC but can you please actually RELEASE something you've actually FINISHED?  ...

You have a lot of great ships that haven't been released and yet you work on even more stuff.

Kudos to you for your talent but man it is very frustrating to see all these great ships we will never play with (Tholian or Firaxis anywhere?).... or so it seems.

If you check the history of the SFC modelling community you will see this kind of model maker pattern.

Thulls (Lyran/Gorn fleets unfinished), Atrahasis (SFB Feds/Roms), Adonis (uber high poly Feds) are among a few I can think of off hand that teased the SFC community with great ships that never actually saw game play.

Part of the problem SFC players face today is you can't attract new players with SFB style ships and there are no complete non-SFB style fleets (Fleetdock13/Desty Nova) out there. After 10 years, none of my SFC races have a uniform fleet.

Yes, this is a hobby and real life comes first. RANT off... No disrespect FoaS_XC

Yes for, me anyway, the priority of release work should go to the NON-FEDERATION races even if that means the Klingon fleet has to wait.

I know atolm did a Pre-TOS Cardie fleet, but those have always felt more TMP-esque to me. THIS is an idea I had for a TOS cardie.

Cardassians are one of the TNG races I would love to bring back into the SFB mythology, along with the Talarians :).

I like this but that radar dish needs to go. Make it oval/linear (wrong word) or even recess it like a TMP Fed deflector or something. Otherwise it is really modern looking.

I think the dish looks perfect. A "modern" lyran craft looks more like the SFC stock CA.
