Ghosts of mars (2001) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0228333/ (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0228333/)
Here we have Val Kilmer against Ice T in the naughty mars mayhem films. Get it guys, 2000 and 2001 are the Naughtys?
ok geek Humor aside, I've had quite a few people thank me for doing this, both in threads, and in PM's. I just want to say, you are more than welcome, and to be honest, it is you guys that make this place live and breath. The conversations have been an eye opener for me, and I have enjoyed reading them very much. So it is I , who must thank you for helping make this a Success, Because without you, this is all just Binary Bull sh*t, and another day for me. So thank you all, for enjoying, participating, and most of all, The comments on the various films.

I loved Ghosts of Mars. It had enough plot holes to drive a (insert large vehicle) through, but it was fun. Red Planet suffered from it being one of a spate of Mars movies on TV and in theatres at the same time. Plus I think the plot has been done lots of times before.

Red Planet reminded me some of the older Robinson Caruso on the moon. Ghost of mars was just fun for the most part.

will probably catch the shows in the future, but haven't seen so can't vote. :'(
-
I've never seen either of them, but anything with Ice T in it is a quality film. ;)
-
He was a cool character, but the show was definitely not a quality film. Liked the soundtrack though.
Unrelated, Pirates of the Carribean On Stranger Tides is the best movie in the series.
-
I never saw the second, and I didn't like Red Planet, so I abstain, courteously.
-
I have no idea what happened to the original poll, so we can try it again. I apoligize for any comments lost.

I dug Red Planet enough to vote for it. I found the issues with the robot pretty interesting and very sci fi enjoyable.
I thought trinity did a pretty good job too in it.
I simply cannot sit through more than five minutes of Ghosts of Mars without changing the channel - it seems so booooooooring - am I missing something?
Doesn't help that I absolutely can't take Ice Cube in space seriously.
-
I'd rather watch either of these than "Mars Attacks". Wonder if the thread took a detour home?

Mars Attacks was a very good laugh. I haven't met a girl who liked it and I haven't met a guy who didn't. Comedy / satire flick.

I know several women who urved Mars Attacks, including my wife.
She found a doll of the Martian that went "Ack, ack ack ack, ack" when you pressed it and sent to another of these Martian-loving women, in Canada. When it got there, turns out customs was curious as to what that sound coming from the box was and had opened it. Gotta stop the invasion somehow, I guess

Red Planet fan here realism matters to some.

Is this the one? (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0058530/)

That's the one Nemesis. I still catch it every so often on TCM or the other old fart TV channels.
Heh, I even saw The Green Slime a few weeks ago! A Japanese film, with American actors, and an Itallian bomb shell, with Jemi Hendrix clone music.

I haven't seen it since I was a kid. Can't remember any details beyond him having a monkey.

It's been a long time for me also, I may have a copy even on an old VHS tape that I recorded off of TV. I'll have to check now.
