Or is that spelled Soul?
Anyways, here we go with this weekends poll.
Sunshine (2007) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0448134/ (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0448134/)
vs.
Gattaca (1997) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119177/ (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119177/)

I didnt really like either one of them overall but did find Sunshine a touch more interesting so I'll go with Sunshine

When I saw the title of this thread, I immediately thought of...
Billy Thorpe - Children Of The Sun (this is a link to some youtube clp someone made) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=voAR07ezBts#).
Or perhaps Solarbabies, seeing it has Sol in it...
Solaris?
While doing the google thing, I came across the AMC link...

I'm kind of curious about that Mysterious Island serial now!

I've never seen Gattaca, but sunshine was horrible.
-
I didn't like either movie, but in the end, I chose Gattaca for the ending.
-
See, I kind of liked Gattaca the first time I saw it, but it grew slow the next few times.
@ Eschelon, I actually have both, the Clooney version, and a dubbed original Russian version of Solaris.

As do I. I think I like the Russian original better, but Clooney did a good job with it as well.
Speaking of Jules Verne's The Mysterious Island:

I also found the 15 episode serial from 1951...

Dunno if these serial bowl guys are a reputable retailer or not, but they have some interesting stuff on their website, for those who can appreciate serials!

Sunshine was great...right up to the point where it changed from being a great Sci-Fi, to some sort of grouped Sci-Fi Horror film.
I picked Gattaca because of the atrocious last 1/3 of Sunshine.
