Very cool page. There is about a 30 second delay via the radio network, but it allows you to listen in to the Emergency band for your county. It's a real treat for me, as some of the voices, I haven't heard in 6 months or more.

Enjoy my friends.

Very interesting. Too bad it doesn't do city but on the county level it will stay quite busy as the county I live in is huge from Duluth to the Canadian border (about 150 miles) and about 75 miles wide.

I can only imagine Brush wolf. Our county, Lincoln, ok, Is pretty small people wise anyways. When I was listening earlier, I noticed the most listened to area, was around Chicago.
Still, And God Forbid it happens, the next time we hear of something happening at X, we can tune in and listen to the actual on sight peeps handling whatever crises. Not that I'm a rubber necker or the like, But I do want my information first hand, and not later after it has been filtered through the media.

St Louis County isn't very densely populated at 200,000 people but we have our fair share of idiots to keep things interesting. Just noticed that the feed includes Douglas County Wisconsin which kicks in another 44,000 people, the Duluth harbor(Farthest seaport from the sea, top 20 in the US at 42 million tons per year), and the BNSF/CN communications on the iron range (northern part of St Louis County).

You haven't caused an emergency for 6 months? That's a new record someone call Guiness. :D

ROFL, You know me too well Nem. :D

Well enough to know that every time I've heard of you having such contact you were in the right.
-
Well thanks Buddy. I always try to be.
It's kind of funny though you said that. I am always teasing my wife, when something comes up, that 'I am always right" and 99% of the time it is true. But that one %, man Do they let me have it. :D

Naturally those are the 1% where you disagree with me. You really shouldn't do that.
The group I used to play D&D with often got into ethical point discussions. If I wasn't there two of them would get really angry with the over alll consensus (each considered themselves quite able to judge things but each radically violates their cliamed religious beliefs) which was to wait until next time when I was there and ask me what the correct view was. They all trusted my ethical judgement most of all, even the ones who resented it. Which was rather strange as I was the only non religious person there.

I can actually see that though Nem, just based on the D&D stories we have shared over the many years. That's the thing with me though, I just never get angry anymore. Now If that is because, I'm just too worn out, or just don't give a damn, well the vote is still out. LOL
Growing up, I was lucky, I had a good friend, who's dad would put the fear of god into anyone, and so My Friend was more my conscience then I was. ( I was a real hellion when I was a kid/Teen. )
The funny thing about it is, Is that now, I am more like his father than he is. One of my grandsons, Kiel, was having a hard time at school today, so his mom asked me to call him. About half way through the phone call, I thought to myself, Damn I sound Like Bill Sumrall (The kids dad.)

One of the two guys who complained about my code of ethics being considered higher than his actually claimed that I was his conscience. He complained that when he dreamed of things that he wanted to do that were against his religion he would hear my voice in the dream telling him not to do it. Apparently I ruined a lot of dreams for him :) (mostly dreams TheJudge would have been comfortable in - I avoided learning any details of those dreams).

Excellent Postman. I'll have to check into that one.
@ Nem, Yeah, I don't think I'd want to hear about those kinds of dreams either. A semester iin college by a Fruedian back in the 80's was enough for me on dreams and the psych.
