fxbkqprd and dimkpuwxyw are typical of random names a bot will come up with. Some of the others could be referencing something that we here don't relate to.

I am on several Yahoo Groups and it is a regular thing to see spam being emailed out by compromised accounts.

Despite most of these IPs being blocked, there's still many more IPs out there and bots roam everywhere. You should how much an unprotected forum will flood, compared to a protected forum. The additional new poster restrictions and additional authentication prevent nearly all of those from posting thankfully. We'll continue doing what we can to ban the bots without chopping off the legitimate foreign users too, it always is an uphill battle.

We use to get loads of Bots on STG but since we ban all IP and e-mail addresses we don't get them back.We get tons a hits a day and yes 20% of those are bots.We haven't had any problems in last few years at STG.I don't think locking the boad up will prevent them from posting anything or we would of done it a few years ago.

I know for a fact, that SFHQ and Kehokul have been working hard on this very issue guys. I know we may have 2-3 guys I know coming in from the west coast and Canada, But I've told them to make sure to post a howdy, and tell peeps I sent them. (from other forums and friends I know in other games.)

I can't see how a bot is getting through the three step verification, but I agree that those sure look like bots... Very curious.

Bot smot, the reason the server is lonely because no one responds to a call for help, i would like to know what server or servers are up and the downloads for them , I have sfc1, sfc2, op and sfc3 and would apreciate a download of ce

Go to the main page and click on downloads. Just keep in mind that the OP/standard EAW dyna doesn't work on vista or later.

You'll need to contact Strat to get the link to download CE. I don't see it listed anymore, perhaps because the Public Beta has wrapped up, more or less. There are about ten of us testing CE until Dynaverse.net makes it available in the marketplace. I have no idea when that'll happen.

On another note...I took some time and scrolled backwards through the acct names....WOW
Instant SHOCK...kinda like the KHK and its R.
The reminder of those brethren and the battles that were fought collectively has evoked long buried recollections of specific moments of time well spent with and against that list of names.
