Title: Wasp nests

This summer had a wasp nest in a hedge that grew on a backyard picket fence. Don't want the critters back again next year and found some online suggestions to "preserve" the nest and hang it back up to dissuade the critters from building there again.

Any of you out there ever try this?

Haven't tried it but have seen a local store selling fake hornets nests for the same purpose.

OK. Sounds like nobody desperate enough or dumb enough to try this. Got some craft spray enamel and a pole saw. What could possibly go wrong? Hoping I don't make the Darwin awards.
