Title: Is there a workaround for buggy single player campaign?

Hi,

I just purchased SFC3, but so far I am having loads of problems with the SP campaign. The time doesnt progress at all, both with the beta patch and without. I cant even get past mission 1 of the Klingon campaign - I take the three ships out but I get no mission complete or anything.

I am using the UK version, and this is really begining to get me annoyed.
