Title: OP 2538 CTD on single player

Just me or what?

Patched 2525 -> 2538  

WinME

P3 800 384mb
Radeon 7200

btw D2 works ok just no single player.

Did you mod your files? If so (and even if not), go into metaassets\singlep[layer\ and make sure 'archive' is set on all of the files.

This worked when it was crashing for me yesterday.

I just had the same problem.  The patched game would let me play the tutorials and skirmish, but not the campaigns.  I would CTD immediately.  I read the suggested fix but I don't know how to modify my files.  Will someone lead me through the process?

Go to the single player folder (c:\Program Files\Taldren Software Inc\Starfleet Command Orion Pirates\MetaAssets\ServerProfiles\Singleplayer), and hit ctrl-a to select all. Then right-click the selected documents, and click 'properties'. Archive will list in there.

Also, for note, a lot would say the 'better' route (since single player missions are incompatible between patches), is to uninstall OP, then reinstall it and use the 2500-2538 patch.

Delete your past savegames.

Toasty0 (I think) had the same problem. Incompatibilities in the game versions...
