Title: Monitor Hum
Post by: CmdrK on April 24, 2003, 10:28:22 am
I have a strange problem.

When I'm playing SFC3 my monitor starts to emit a load hum. It is a Sony Trinitron. I'm using the Beta patch.

The hum immediately stops when I exit the game. It recurs when I start the game again.

Any ideas?

Thanks

The only thing I can think of is the refresh rate your monitor uses during the game.  See if you can change this.

The game does change resolutions from my desktop setting. I checked the SFCSetup, but not many options. I quess I'll have to play with the refresh settings on my card. I wonder if the game is trying to set a rate that's too high for my monitor at 1024 x 768.

I'll be in the lab tonight - conducting experiments.

Thanks
