Nice though... bring the nastalgia from the Old forum back to here...

Heh, you get the "Beater of the dead-equine" award!

Anyways, I just wanted to see what rank I am, I see that I shall have to be MUCH more vocal now so I can top 2K, perhaps get to be a Captain.
Have a nice day!
-
Lord save us on this!
Hmm, well, as far as Magic Photons go...I think Quantums are WAAAAY to magical, do too much damage and all, the Polaron is also a little too powerful. The Plasma on the otherhand, as always, it needs more Power, and to hit more...giving the power to the proper race obviously.
-
im waiting for that topic.
-
Wheee... Magic Photons!
-
Dash Jones have you considered that plasmas might be as accurate as other torpedoes? They have big degradation but people seem to operate on assumptions or suppositions. I have been guilty of things in the past and now I am wary. I know there are exact numbers on how accurate weapons are and I have heard one who say they are just as accurate. In relativity theory we know a lot of what we see is just perception not reality.
I don't speak from a lot of experience with romulans but I do know players percieve things they want to see.
I don't see how you think Polarons are overpowered. Polarons do only 9 damage, they have no proximity ability, cost a lot of pp and rarely penetrate shields.
Quantum bashing is so popular but I am not sure about the solidarity of such bashing's foundation.
I haven't played in a while and I love the Federation but I think I am an obective player. Note the many other occasions in which I have spoken outwardly against the Federation in many ways. I have also played Klingon heavily and other races in a passing manner aside from the Federation. So I have some experience with everything.
It is a wise man who says that one cannot have all the answers but I know for certain there is a problem with the Federation so don't jump on me for trying to point other stuff out.

How about that. The threads only a couple hours old and it's already been hijacked.

Darn it...the freaking topic sure make me look inside...I feel like a idiot now...LOL But I was actually looking for talking about..photons and electrons or quantom in real physics....lol...I guess not...hahahaha but still make me look inside the thread..
-
They aren't magic, I prefer to call them reality impared.
-
Magic alright!!! Fire them at a ship and watch them magicly zip off in space not hitting anything
-
Frodo? Where's Frodo? Yo, Frodo! Don't fall into the swamp!

I wonder if I can become Admiral Alidar Jarok
Well, I'll just have to keep posting and find out

Did you actually know that photons can make matter out of energy? Sometimes photons with an energy of at least 1.02 MeV suddenly disappear and form an electron and and a positron, or as you might say an anti-electron.
Just a bit of trivia about Magic Photons.

Wo..3 years..and only captain....gee...how much post will get to admiral...

I've been here for almost three years and I'm only a Captain...
...then again, I don't really want to be any other rank.
It could be worse, I've been here 4 months longer and I'm only a LT JG. Lurkers get no respect.
I'd rather be my real rank, SGT.
-
AHHHHH!!! He sayeth the name of the weapon which we cannot stand. MAKE HIM STOP!
-
Another bit of Magic Photon trivia.
Do you know why you can look inside a microwave while it's on?
Visible light has a shorter wavelength than microwaves. Those little holes just behind the glass are to big for the microwavephotons to pass through, and visible light can pass through because these photons have smaller wavelength.

Well, I've been here for almost three years too... but at least I'm a lightcudder instead of a lowly lieutenant junior grade.

And again I say, Wheeee! Magic Photons!
Frodo, come out come out, wherever you are...
-
This is tragic...
-
This post just too funny...LOL
-
Not famous, but rather infamous. Peace.
-
Bump, because I'm feeling evil
-
Oh no, there it is again!
Blast it, flame it, doesn't matter just get this terrible thread down!
Aenigma

Actually those little holes that are on the door is to fliter the radition so it does not come out and do harm to you.

What? Really? Can you point me to an explanation of this? What conditions are required for the photon to, err... transform into the electron/positron pair? What happens afterwords?
As to rank posting, I suspect it's how much (spam) you post, rather than the number of your posts. For some strange reason i've aready risen once in rank, while people with as many as twenty posts more than me are still the rank behind.
And yes, it made me look. Very funny.
The wizard's wit has struck again,
Holocat.

ROFLMAO!!!

I must admit the magic of the " magic Photon thread " has pulled me in and, alas, I now become an unwitting accomplice.
BUMP (otherwise known as the sound of a magic Photons consistently hitting me from range 30 and AV of 1+)
-
Holocat you might want to read this :

Magic Photons!
Aenigma
-
Read it. Anything else?

To be specific, what's happening, exactly, when the photon transforms? What's causing the transformation? From what i'm reading, the high energy of the beam is only a part of what is requisite for the creation to occur.
A wonderous world of magic photons,
Holocat.
-
yes, and there should be some mass (nuclei mostly, like protons or neutrons) in the vicinity, and the rest of how and why i can't explain, because i don't have knowledge about that yet. Just magic photons.
Aenigma
-
Actually, any magic photon worth its weight, would utilize that nebulus Dark Matter thats all around us. Of course, if I ponder its weight, I suppose it wouldnt be really worth it at all. Heh heh.
Evil Bump .....
-
Well I don't know about little holes and such, my microwave has a window which is see through, so no magic photons there!
-
Given the new threads about uber cloaks and the old arguments about EAW vs. OP vs. SFC3 and SFB vs. Trek in new threads, I felt that this post should show up again to demonstrate the silliness of these threads, and help people relax about their tightness concerning the changes that have and have yet to occur in the SFC series.
Well sort of. Mostly because this thread is evily fun to trap people in.
Relax, and become mired in the good ol' magic photon argument,
Holocat.
-
.. you guys are just asking to see the picture I posted earlier today about arguying on the internet, aren't you...
heh.
