Thats the trouble with a reasonably balanced game, not enough flame wars
Ah, bring back tracking torps I say

We could always start talking about He Who Must Not Be Named, that would liven the forum up.

Well...
Sounds like you're more consumer, less provider...? Post something exciting to you & let's see where it goes! True mark of leadership: If you see something you don't like, work to fix it!

It died down significantly after Erik Bethke's last post "On the forum and the Patch" where he pretty much said that there would be no more SFC's for awhile....if ever.
Most people were hanging out here in the hopes of a "Galaxies at War" hint. Well we got the hint........and it wasn't a good one.
I only hang out here now to find out what the patches and fan made upgrades are doing. Along with Magnumman's patches, Firesoul's OP+ shiplist combined with NuclearWessels's new missions, and the porting of EAW's campaigns to OP have greatly improved my SFC gaming. I hope more can be done in the future like this. Maybe someone will get the source code someday and program Tholians and Andros into OP.....I can only hope.

Even though this will sound like a country song... But someone's gotta say it:
All the battles worth fighting for are fought.
All the battles should have won are lost.
I doubt even "He-who-must-not-be-named" will stir up the trouble it used to...

Yes, a simplified game albeit balanced.
-
Well i'm trying to get some " Crazy Fun Going On " Let's Wake This Place Up ! ! !
-
But what is there, really, to talk about? The patch is out, there may not be a new one so future bug reports are pointless. It sounds like there won't be another one in the series, so no point speculating or producing 'wish-lists'. Posts about 'that great multiplayer battle I was in last night' are not that interesting for people who weren't there. It's only a game after all...
A forum works when there are new things to talk about, and at the moment that means the various mods people have put together. And that's probably the way it's going to stay.
