Title: OP+ 2.1c released -- as promised. bugfix release 2.
Post by: FireSoul on May 03, 2003, 12:43:38 pm
OP+ shiplist 2.1c has been completed and is ready for download at:
 http://klingon.stasis.ca/OP_plusrefit/op_plusrefit_shiplist-20030503.zip

This shiplist is essentially the same as 2.1 minus the 2/3rds fighter changes and DroneCrontrol limited to 12.

The main site is:
 http://klingon.stasis.ca/OP_plusrefit/

For those who are wondering what changes have been completed since version 2.0, Visit these files:
 Changes.
 Compare.txt from 2.0 to 2.1c

For people playing on Reclamation, unless the admins decide to upgrade the shiplist there too (which I doubt), don't update just yet.

A few notes: The DWL still has a free PowerPack at 103 bpv. It would be nice to have an unrefitted DWL available.

The F-CA+ need not have been completely tossed out. A F-CA with just the Ph3 and G-rack refits would be a nice addition at 136 bpv.

The I-CVLS bpv isn't quite right. It costs the same as a CVLZ. That's essentially a PPD refit for free.  Maybe the CVLS escaped the Plas-I tax because it doesn't look like it has a "Z" refit. It should probably be called a CVLSZ to clear things up being the only "Z" refitted ship without the "-Z" tag.

SFC_Ship = SFB_Base + Ftr + PlasI = SFC_Total
CVLS(Z) = 145 + 2*8 + 6 = 167 //you have it at 157
CVLZ = 135 + 2*8 + 6 = 157 //ok
CSZ = 155 + 0 + 6 = 161 //ok

Perhaps Taldren charged this ship 2 bpv per fighter at 2/3rds supply (6). That would be 145 + 2*6 + 0' = 157.
' Ducking the Plas-I tax.

I dunno.. not sure..
I tried a few things with this shiplist that some people didn't like, and there was a lot of angst. If it's about the mod, I need some time to cool off..

.. if it's about OP, then yes. Sure. Anything to help the game.

 Ahhh, the lovely smell of progress! Which patch should I be running to run the new ship list?

OP 2538. That patch includes the upgrade for the max number of ships per hulltype per race from 64 to 128, which is necessary to run this shiplist.

Take a look at the H-TEM data with Excel or TextPad. It is missing data starting on row 604, column 1305. That's the relative bpv contribution of the weapon systems. This might mess up the "hull integrity" bar for that ship.

I have quite a few of those entries..
.. hav eyou figured out what they're all for and how they're calculated? If I know the math, I can automate it.

I've briefly looked into it in the past. I can visualize the mechanism but I don't know from where Taldren got their specific numbers. I've been thinking of unweighting the aspect of "Hull Integrity" by making every system on the ship equally weighted, say a Ph-4 is worth the same as a transporter, so that the integrity bar actually represents how much internal damage a ship has sustained. I think this info is worth more to the player than the current weighted system. For example, when you knock out the Plas-R on a War Eagle, its "Hull Integrity" drops to roughly 40%. We all know that the WE isn't a burning wreck. As soon as the Plas-R is repaired, the hull integrity bar jumps back to near 100%...which some inexperienced players interpret as cheating.

EDIT: I'm not sure what's going on. There seems to be some hidden calculation for those ships that have blank entries.  The integrity bar seems to be normal.
