Title: Router/Firewall HELP!!!!!!

Okay after much debate it was decided that a router would work much better for me than the straight through run I was doing.

Well for all my efforts I am hopelessly lose and am sending out an SOS.

Sitrep:

Motorola Cable Modem
D-Link DI604 Router (w/4 port switch)


I am lost on how to kae this work for me, I wanna play so bad :-(  HELPPPPPP

Set up the Router as per the instructions i.e. default configuration.
Make sure you have the latest firmware from the DLink website.
Make sure you have the router working for normal web browsing, email etc.
Check the latest manual (from the website) to see how to setup port forwarding for port ranges i.e. 2300-2400

Once you have made it that far get ready for step two (and I have seen one post from somebody saying they had a DI-604 working).
