So does this mean that you can take the moddel contest picture down now?
-
Congratulations to Viper! it's an excellent model!!
-
That was just rude. A lot of work and talent went into making those models. They all look great.

-
All the models look great but I'm getting sick of seeing Feds ships. I liked the Breen and Klingon ships the most just because they were different.

Viper has corrected me, the models that were credited to him were actually done by Deemon. I have updated the announcement.
Thanks,
Dave

I hear ya, haven't seen many Mirak models at all......
Anyhow, all of those entrys were exceptional, congrats to all of you.

Ah well. Personal tastes. I really liked the Saberclaw (go figure, I play Rom normally), and Rick Knox's Norway.
-
That Miranda is an eye-popper!
Great job by all.

Two questions, is it possible to get any of these models for use in the game, and what programs can be used to create such wonders of imagery that won't cost me three paychecks?
-
1. Most of these models are offered by the community for installation into SFC3.
Most modellers have their own sites where you can download their models... mine is www.STARYARDS.com (although it's down for another day or two)
2. I've heard people say it's possible to convert Milkshape 3d models into SFC3 models, but I don't have any concrete data on that. Milkshape is a cheap shareware 3d Modeller. (I think under $50) Itherwise, you're looking at 3dsMAX, and that's in the thousands...
-
Yeah I would like to know (n00b to this but still), im not a bad artist myself so wouldnt mind having a go working on these. Integrating them into the game is the next logical stage so surely there should be a tutorial on this somewhere? Any help would be appreciated!
