Not sure what class this is supposed to be...it's a fan design from the Neutralzone, IIRC, that I altered a little, as the original had some discrepencies that really didn't work. It's supposed to be the USS ARIES, the ship that Riker was offered (one of 'em anyway

); I liked the look of her, so decided she would make a good Lost Era fast cruiser...what ya think?

Actually, I did use the nacelles from my Ent.C...why re-make 'em when you don't have to.

Man, one of these days we really need to seriously get together on another project.

Miss working with you on stuff.. and hopefully we'll see B around one of these days as well.

Love the stuff you're doing to help fill in the modelling gap as well between TMP and TNG, it and preTOS are generally the hardest ball of yarn to play with because there's not the plethera of designs floating around like we usually see for TMP, TOS or TNG..

Actually, it's a bit smaller that the Ambassador...remember, the Ambassador was the largest Fed ship design 'til the Galaxy, IIRC. Anyway, I see this as a response to the Cardassians, mainly a warship rather than an explorer, thus the (5) phaser arrays on the top of the saucer and the bottom will have (4). I also see it as having (4) forward torp launchers. Like I said, I see it as a Fast Attack Cruiser, able to zip in, deliver a lethal blow and move on to the next target.

Alec, I'd love to build a mesh for you to texture...your textures are awesome!!!

Hmm, this looks almost exactly like the Renaissance class as the ASDB. Perhaps that is what you found at the NZD?

Yep, that's it.

And, no offense taken, we all have our preferences.

KF, trust me, the non-feds I have "dreamed up", ain't too purty.

My brain's wired to be the builder, not the designer I guess. After I finish this though, I will be starting some, as the feds slot is pretty full, as is the Roms. I'll probably be going with the Cardys to start, since I already have one almost done, and a few designs ready to go.

Since I changed to design some, I was thinking of making this a new, limited production class. I would be open to suggestions regarding class and ship names, as well as registry ranges.

Oh, and I'll post some pics later...
